Education in Pakistan has progressively turned into a matter of global concern. Lack of quality learning and training is opening the doors of terrorism, unemployment, over-population and poverty. The World Bank says almost a large portion of Pakistan population can't even read or write. There are many reasons behind this situation and will have to face issues in future as well until taking of some bold steps. Let’s try to highlight the current education system in Pakistan and some positive suggestions for betterment in future.

Literacy Rate – Education in Pakistan

When we talk about a strong system then we should not forget the impact of illiteracy rate all over the country, this rate is increasing day by day especially in rural areas and millions of children are out of school. Let’s have sketch of literacy rate throughout history.

From above chart Punjab is leading and there was good period from “1981 to 1998”. All provincial governments as well as federal government should come forward to increase literacy rate all over the country.

By comparing with Asian countries we are not standing at little bit good position.

Role of Educational Institutions

government responsibilities
Government Role in Pakistan Education
Our current culture is genuinely imperfect neglecting to achieve the good standards; hundreds of various schools have low quality of training especially in rural areas. A percentage of the schools don't even have the fundamental assets like black boards to run their business, no satisfactory furniture like seats and tables. If we want to set good standards of education, all stakeholders have to come forward to take bold steps.

Conclusion:

In the end we are able to conclude that education in Pakistan not much stronger as compare to other countries of our region, we have to work in different fields for stronger output. It needs to monitor in our rural areas on regular base. Finally, the government, parents, teachers, students, school management and media have to come on same point and participate for betterment in future.

Suggestions to improve Pakistan Education System:

After reviewing on all, we have following suggestions
·         v The government should increase GDP growth rate at 7%
v Educational institutions should provide quality teachers to produce quality students
v Media should participate and start campaign to aware about importance of education in rural areas
v Parents should monitor the activities of their children and take action accordingly.
v Teachers should take classes regularly and attend each student
v All the students should attend classes and do their work properly
